X Games 2012 Gets X-treme Head Protection With UNEQUAL EXO Armor

UNEQUAL CRT and EXO Armor Protecting X Game Athletes

KENNETT SQUARE, PA--(Marketwire - May 31, 2012) - UNEQUAL Technologies® is honored to be providing its Concussion Reduction Technology ("CRT") and EXO Armor for 200 of the world's best athletes competing in the Summer X Games, which will be held June 28 - July 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA.

"The pursuit of breaking records often results in breaking bones," says Rob Vito, UNEQUAL'S President, "but you can help reduce the possibility of injury with UNEQUAL EXO. It is the world's first military grade composite fused with Kevlar®, engineered for extreme sports protection. Let's face it, most sports protection today is made from glorified couch foam, which is built for sitting -- not protecting. Top athletes like Levi LaVallee know and insist on the UNEQUAL difference from experience."

While the X Games are about pushing the sports envelope and "going to the max," athlete safety is a top priority. The higher the risk, the more safety precautions need to be taken by these action athletes to protect their minds and bodies. UNEQUAL will be showcasing its line of EXO Armor to the more than 140,000 fans attending the events. UNEQUAL provided CRT kits to the athletes in Tignes, France on March 14 to 16, where the competing athletes performed for more than 80,000 people from all over Europe including Germany, the UK, Switzerland and France.

Extreme snowmobiler and Multi Winter X Games gold-medal winner Levi LaVallee understands first-hand the risks he takes daily. To help protect him, LaVallee wears EXO Armor. "A couple of years ago I had a gnarly crash preparing to set the world record jump, and for a long time after, the only thing I was riding was my couch. So this past year, I wanted to be totally spot on with everything possible. The UNEQUAL Technology team hooked me up with EXO protection from head to toe, and it provided me with the extra confidence needed to crush the record."

UNEQUAL will exhibit in the X-Fest Village. The company will demonstrate the different levels of protection offered within its EXO Skeleton line of CRT and sports armor. In addition to the product demonstrations, LaVallee will be onsite to talk about his experience wearing UNEQUAL protective gear and sign autographs. UNEQUAL will also be sponsoring a "Golden Ticket" contest where X Games attendees have the chance to win cool prizes, including UNEQUAL gear.

UNEQUAL® patented, force dispersion technology offers the best protection for any level athlete, in nearly any sport. Its effectiveness originates from the UNEQUAL® patented composite. The first layer absorbs and converts vibration and impact shock that enters the head or body, the second layer (made with Kevlar®) blocks and redirects the energy, while the third layer is compliant and comfortable to conform to everyday activities. The UNEQUAL technology is versatile, adaptable and durable, meeting the highest standards from military-grade protection to sports protection.
