Xangati ESP Receives Application Certification from ServiceNow

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - September 15, 2016) - Xangati today announced it has received certification of its application with ServiceNow®. Certification by ServiceNow signifies that Xangati ESP virtual appliance software has successfully completed a set of defined tests focused on integration interoperability, security and performance. The certification also ensures that best practices are utilized in the design and implementation of Xangati.

Xangati generates alerts that are relevant to virtualized and hybrid-cloud IT infrastructure performance. The Xangati App for ServiceNow inserts Xangati alerts as ServiceNow events and associated with these alerts, when appropriate, automates remedial actions, which are inserted as ServiceNow tasks. The ServiceNow tasks are associated with the alerts in that the events have been stitched together by Xangati, which similarly to ServiceNow discovers and maps every functional component that is in the data center.

Xangati alerts indicate a seriously degrading condition or point to a critical root cause that is impacting performance, which are identified as storms by Xangati's correlation analytics engine. When Xangati detects a performance storm alert, which is accompanied by a Xangati-determined prescriptive remedial action, Xangati inserts the storm attributes and associated contention data as an event in the ServiceNow Instance. When a performance storm is detected, the Xangati appliance causes the ServiceNow Instance to notify the affected service owners as well as the approvers of the immediate action off of this task, while the Xangati App for ServiceNow causes the actions to be executed automatically.
