XanGo Launches Global Philanthropic Movement

XanGo Goodness Designed to Mobilize Category Creator's International Resources, Including Hundreds of Thousands of Distributors, to Serve Communities in Need

LEHI, UT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 1, 2006 -- XanGo, LLC, recognized creator of the mangosteen nutritional supplement category, today launched XanGo Goodness, a global philanthropic movement to serve, support and improve communities in need. The XanGo Goodness program is designed to mobilize the surging company's worldwide resources -- including over 500,000 distributors, hundreds of employees and millions of consumers -- to participate in XanGo's cause-related ventures.

As part of the program, the nutritionals industry giant introduced a new Web site,, to serve as an interactive town hall for the global movement.

"XanGo Goodness is an evolution of our philanthropic program which was part of the company's conception," said XanGo Co-Founder Gordon Morton. "Our focus is results, not just the act of giving. We are working diligently to be involved in our charitable causes and to ensure our contributions reach people in need. As a fast-growing international company with a 'roll up our sleeves and get involved' creed, XanGo is uniquely poised to mobilize our financial and human resources to take meaningful action."

XanGo dedicates five to seven percent of sales of its flagship product, XanGo® Juice, to charitable causes. The mangosteen market leader made headlines last year with reconstruction of a Thai village destroyed by the December 2004 tsunami. XanGo is a major supporter of children and family focused charities like Operation Kids and its partner organizations McGruff House, Right To Play and Operation Smile, as well as Hope Alliance, Yokohama Family House and Desarollo Integral de la Familia.

"As XanGo expands internationally, we are working with a growing roster of charitable partners who reflect our philanthropic mission: to improve the quality of life for children and families around the world," said Morton, who heads the XanGo Goodness global program.

"Charitable action is part of XanGo's DNA. Our distributors, consumers and supporters always ask how they can be involved in our work. XanGo Goodness is designed to channel their passion, their energy and their commitment to make a difference," said Morton.

Powered by distributor sales, XanGo has actively supported charitable partners through monetary donations, advisory board participation, volunteer programs and partnerships in humanitarian expeditions and community education.

Morton said XanGo Goodness will bolster the company's global charitable initiatives including community enrichment in Utah where XanGo is based, AIDS education in Africa, housing Japanese families with seriously ill children, improving Canadian schools and providing corrective facial surgeries to kids in the Philippines and Mexico.
