Xceedium Moves Headquarters to Northern Virginia

Privileged Access Control Leader to Increase Staff in Response to Growing Demand in Federal and Commercial Markets

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - March 28, 2011) - Xceedium Inc., the leader in Zero Trust Access Control solutions, today announced that it has moved its headquarters to Northern Virginia to support its expanding federal government and commercial customer base.

Based on growing demand, Xceedium also said that it is increasing its workforce through new hires at its Northern Virginia headquarters, located at the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), which is home to cutting edge technology companies, and in its New Jersey office, the hub of its product development.

The expansion news comes on the heels of Xceedium's strong growth during 2010. Over the past year, Xceedium added an unprecedented number of new customers and channel partners. This further demonstrates the rising need for privileged access control to counter insider threats whether they originate from within or outside of the network.

"We opened our new headquarters to address the continuing demand for the Xceedium GateKeeper that we're witnessing in the federal market as agencies take advantage of data center consolidation and virtualization and need to meet increasing compliance requirements," said Glenn Hazard, CEO of Xceedium. "We are also experiencing unprecedented growth in the commercial sector as enterprises seek to address the increasing focus on insider threats. To meet the demands in both the federal and commercial markets, we are expanding our workforce. We look forward to taking advantage of the extensive and innovative IT security pool in Northern Virginia as we meet the unparalleled industry demand for Xceedium GateKeeper."

The GateKeeper secures and audits access from privileged users -- company employees, partners, consultants and IT staff -- to computing infrastructure. It allows organizations to enforce access control policies and contains users in a manner that enables them to see only the network resources to which they have access. In addition, it creates detailed, centralized and actionable audit trails so that organizations can effectively manage risk and maintain compliance with the security requirements of PCI, FISMA, NIST-800.53, FIPS, HIPAA, NERC and other regulations. Highly regulated and security conscious organizations have identified the Xceedium GateKeeper as a must-have product to meet their evolving privileged access control needs.
