Xchanging Procurement Services North America Continues Strong Momentum

New Customer Wins, Key Contract Renewal, Technology Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships Among 2013 Highlights for the Global Business

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2013) - Xchanging, the business process, procurement and technology services provider, today announced that its procurement arm, Xchanging Procurement Services, currently the third largest procurement services provider globally, will cap a record growth year in North America with five new customer wins throughout Q3 and Q4 alone.

Phil Fersht, Founder and CEO of HfS Research, said: "Xchanging has consistently demonstrated strong innovation and execution capabilities to be a worthy high performer in procurement service delivery. During our exhaustive blueprint process, clients cited Xchanging's continuation improvement methodology and ability to incorporate customer feedback as particular differentiators. In addition, Xchanging is bringing its clients significant technology value to the table with its proprietary BPaaS procurement platform, which has demonstrated strong analytics and mobility delivery to enhance procurement service quality and effectiveness."

Other highlights in 2013 include Xchanging's acquisition of Chicago-based MarketMaker4, a next generation eSourcing software provider, which significantly strengthened the company's technology offering. Xchanging also recently announced a strategic partnership with SDI International, a long-standing player in the supplier diversity and women-owned business segment, and the largest Latina-owned firm in the U.S. The partnership creates a joint, end-to-end procurement solution to drive sustainable cost savings, enhanced efficiencies and full category management capabilities for customers.

Additionally this year, Xchanging made a major strategic hire, appointing former IBM Global Process Services senior leader, Marie Meliksetian, as its Managing Director, Procurement Services for Xchanging North America. The move has contributed to the company's emergence as a strong player in the North American procurement services market through the aforementioned customer growth, acquisition and strategic partnerships. Further evidence of this is Xchanging's designation by Everest Group as a "PO Star Performer" for the second year in a row and its placement in the Leaders quadrant of Everest's PEAK Matrix for the first time.

Xchanging Procurement Services also expanded into new vertical industries in 2013, winning its first customer in the utility sector, and was able to extend contracts with several notable clients, including its largest in North America.

Marie Meliksetian, Managing Director, Procurement Services for Xchanging North America, said: "Xchanging Procurement Services made a strong commitment to growing its business in the U.S. in 2013, with impressive results. Our fast-growing North American customer base and presence in this major market builds on the company's global position as a top three procurement services provider and extends its successful international track record. Our ability to scale-up quickly to fulfil new North American business by growing our domestic team and attracting top industry talent, and by leveraging our extensive global resources, has been compelling to customers. We will continue to aggressively grow our presence in the region going forward."
