XFX Goes International to Find XFX Girl 2.0 Spokesmodel

ONTARIO, CA--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - Who says that "tech" girls can't be hot? Certainly not XFX. Confident that its next spokesmodel can be beautiful and brainy, the international graphics card manufacturer has launched an 8-week search for the girl who has it all -- specifically looks and technical aptitude. Fans can watch the best video submissions and help promote their favorites for consideration at

The search, known as XFX Girl 2.0, is scouring the world for a new spokesmodel who will travel the world representing XFX at tradeshows, industry functions and social events, and also will be spotlighted in advertising campaigns and promotional materials. As the voice of XFX in a variety of social media arenas, including Facebook and MySpace, as well as serving as the host of her own Vlog, XFX Girl 2.0 will showcase her technical wizardry -- at least as it pertains to gaming and building/designing gaming rigs.

"We really wanted to move beyond having a 'face' of XFX, which is what we have done in the past," explains Director of Global Brand & Marketing, Eddie Memon. "Gaming is a very interactive experience, and our goal is to make our next spokesmodel a physical embodiment of that, talking with and sharing her gaming experiences with our fans. We believe that our fans will enjoy the ability to interact with the brand through XFX Girl 2.0."

The XFX Girl 2.0 search runs from October 5 through December 1, with the new spokesmodel announced on December 13. To be considered for the position, girls must be 21 years or older, able to commit to a one-year contract and be willing to travel internationally. Girls also must be able to create, post and maintain the XFX Girl Vlog and interact on the XFX Girl Facebook and MySpace pages.

To enter, girls should visit for a complete list of application requirements as well as tips on how to create a sample Vlog.
