SHANDONG, CHINA--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2016) - XinGang Electronics Co., Ltd (XinGang), a leading supplier of electro-acoustic products, today announced a relationship with Vesper, a designer of advanced acoustic-sensing technology, for the commercialization of piezoelectric MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) microphones for smartphones, wearables and Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices.
Vesper's first piezoelectric MEMS microphone will be integrated into XinGang's product portfolio of MEMS microphones for consumer-electronics products. As piezoelectric MEMS devices, Vesper's microphones are natively waterproof, dustproof, shockproof and particle-resistant -- unique features that make them attractive to manufacturers who want to offer the most stable and reliable products to consumers. Vesper's microphones also feature very high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and very low noise, delivering outstanding acoustic performance for the voice-enabled applications on which we rely daily.
"MEMS microphones are shipping by the hundreds of millions in smartphones, laptops and tablets, and emerging market sectors such as smart home devices and wearables represent newer areas for growth," said Chris Foh, chief strategy officer, XinGang Electronics. "Expanding our portfolio through our collaboration with Vesper will allow us to offer a very high-performance, far more resilient MEMS microphone to our customers in these and other consumer markets."
"Our relationship with XinGang allows us to team with a company that has proven its ability to deliver acoustically satisfying MEMS microphones to a wide range of customers, including some of the world's leading consumer brands," said Matt Crowley, CEO, Vesper. "We are delighted to work with XinGang Electronics in this capacity and look forward to the launch of their first MEMS microphone based on Vesper's piezoelectric MEMS technology."
XinGang specializes in manufacturing electro-acoustic products. For more than a decade, the company has focused its efforts on the development and manufacture of electret condenser microphone (ECM), speakers and audio receivers. In 2006, the company expanded into MEMS-based silicon microphones and transducers.
XinGang's electro-acoustic products are shipping in high-volume consumer electronics products from companies such as Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Fujitsu, GE, Siemens and Mitsubishi. XinGang is based in Weifang, Shandong, China. For more information, please contact us via email: email@example.com or web: http://www.sdxingang.cn.
