XLTEK Announces New Senior Management Appointment

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 6, 2006) - Excel-Tech Ltd. ("XLTEK")(TSX:NRV) a medical technology company that designs, develops and sells proprietary neurodiagnostic medical devices, announced today that Mr. Michael Pattinson has been appointed Vice President of Sales for the Company.

Mr. Pattinson joined XLTEK in July 2005 as Vice President, Business Development and most recently held the position of Vice President International and Recurring Revenue for the company. He has over 16 years experience in the neurodiagnostic market and held senior management positions in the USA with Oxford Instruments PLC and Vickers PLC in their medical divisions that specialized in neurodiagnostic instruments and accessories.

"We are pleased to appoint Mike to this new position, a reflection of his significant contribution to the Company and our renewed focus on our advanced instruments business," commented John Mumford, President and CEO.

It is also announced that Bruce McKean, most recently Vice President Sales, FrontLine Neuro, has left the Company to pursue other interests.
