xMatters Joins the Fight Against Prostate Cancer

Employees Show Off Moustaches in the 5th Annual Movember Campaign

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 10, 2011) - xMatters, the relevance engine company, proudly joins the fight to end prostate cancer by taking part in the 5th annual Movember campaign. Every 2.7 minutes a man is being diagnosed with the disease and Movember, the month formerly known as November, aims to change these statistics by creating a global focus on cancers affecting men.

Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. Each Movember, men are challenged to start the month clean-shaven and grow a moustache. The moustache becomes the hairy billboard for men's health, sparking conversations about the seemingly unmentionable topics of men's health and prostate cancer.

The devastating disease has affected several members of the xMatters family on a personal level creating a sense of urgency to help raise funds for cancer research. Over 30 xPerts have vowed to keep the razor in the medicine cabinet all month while working to gather donations. xMatters will match all donations collected by the team, up to $5,000.

"This disease and all forms of cancer hit too close to home for many members of the xMatters team," said Troy McAlpin, CEO, xMatters. "I'm very proud of the incredibly high caliber of people who work here at xMatters and participate to show their support of great causes like the Movember campaign."
