SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 6, 2012) - xMatters, inc., the relevance engine company, has been announced a winner of the 2012 W3 Awards in conjunction with the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Receiving over 3,000 entries, The W3 Awards honors outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video, & Mobile Apps created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.
xMatters submitted a creative rap video, titled "I Wish", a spoof from the popular song from 1995 by rapper Skee-Lo. This video was created in conjunction with xMatters' first appearance at CA World, a tradeshow hosted by their partner, CA Technologies.
"We're excited that our rap video was honored in the 2012 W3 awards," said Charity Hudnall, Marketing Director, xMatters. "We really went out on a limb with this one, completely rewriting some very complex lyrics to tie in with our IT theme. The song really showcases how xMatters is revolutionizing an industry, taking IT from old school to innovative, fun and creative."
Not only did xMatters rewrite the song lyrics, the actors featured in the video are all xMatters employees, including the star of the video, the rapper.
"We are honored to once again recognize creative excellence on the Web, and are humbled to witness all the amazing work being done throughout the industry," said Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA. "From everyone at the Academy, we congratulate our 2012 W3 Award entrants and winners for their contributions and commitment to the online world in which we live."
The W3 Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms.
