Xora Appoints New CEO to Extend Leadership in Rapidly Growing Location-Based Mobile Workforce Management Market

Company Poised for Accelerated Global Expansion

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - December 15, 2010) - Xora, a leading provider of location-based mobile workforce management solutions with nine consecutive quarters of profitability, today announced the appointment of Anne Bonaparte to president and CEO. Bonaparte brings more than 20 years of senior executive experience to Xora at a time when the mobile enterprise applications market is poised for significant growth. Analyst firm Frost & Sullivan projects the market -- in which Xora has been a recognized leader for much of the past decade -- will reach $10.87 billion in 2015. Anne succeeds Xora's founder Sanjay Shirole, who helped build the company to its market-leading position.

"We are delighted to have someone of Anne's caliber, who is a veteran of both emerging and established technology companies, lead Xora through its next stage of growth," said Ned Carlson, board member for Xora and managing director of Dawntreader. "Her significant experience building businesses and growing organizations will be invaluable as we enter this next exciting phase of growth."

Before joining Xora, Bonaparte was president and CEO of Solidcore Systems, where she doubled revenues year-over-year, building Solidcore in to the leading application whitelisting and IT policy enforcement solution provider until its acquisition by McAfee. Previously, Bonaparte was president and CEO of two leading security software companies, Tablus and MailFrontier, which she grew from early revenue to market leadership positions. In addition, Bonaparte has led global multi-channel teams at VeriSign, Autodesk, Bain and Hewlett-Packard, and was founder of Buzzsaw, the leading SaaS provider of design collaboration and project management applications for the architecture, engineering and construction industries.

Bonaparte will focus on expanding Xora's presence with large enterprises, extending relationships with leading wireless carriers, enhancing its suite of mobile workforce solutions, and growing the business globally.

"As one of the first companies to launch a location-based service for businesses, Xora was way ahead of its time," said Bonaparte. "Now that millions of consumers and workers are leveraging smartphones for business and play, Xora is uniquely positioned to capture a lion's share of the market for smartphone productivity applications. With businesses worldwide looking for ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency, Xora's mobile workforce management solutions are a perfect fit."

Founded in 1999, Xora has been a pioneer in the location-based mobile applications market. The company launched its first product, GPS TimeTrack, in Spring 2003, and quickly secured thousands of customers through its partnership with Nextel (now part of Sprint). Xora has since added partnerships with top North American and international carriers including AT&T, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless and Telstra, the leading Australian carrier. Xora is also the partner of choice for time and attendance management software/payroll providers such as ADP. Xora has aggressively grown its product line, and was first-to-market with a solution built for Android smartphones and tablets.
