XZERES Launches UK Web Site and Online Site Assessment to Begin Active Marketing of Its Small Wind Power Systems to the UK Market

WILSONVILLE, OR--(Marketwire - April 7, 2011) - XZERES Wind Corporation (OTCBB: XWND), designer, developer and producer of distributed generation, wind power systems for the small wind market (2.5kW-100kW), today announced the launch of its United Kingdom website www.xzeres.co.uk. The new site includes site assessment for England, Scotland and Wales and is a part of the XZERES WindRx™ (www.xzeres.com/buy-direct/wind-report-project) financial analysis platform providing instant access to information about prospective United Kingdom wind turbine site locations, which possess one of the best wind resources in all of Europe.

The WindRx™ UK instant site report evaluates a customer's potential location when they submit a simple form that includes their address and how much electricity they use each month. The WindRx™ instant report estimates the customer's potential energy production from an XZERES wind energy system and calculates the value of the energy savings as well as incorporating the regular guaranteed payments (known as the feed-In tariff) paid by the British government for 20 years.

"We have worked diligently to effectively begin our entry into the United Kingdom market with our small wind power systems, which are designed to meet the United Kingdom's requirement for best in class quality, as well as being rugged enough to withstand high wind resources and the humidity and salinity of coastal and marine environments," stated Frank Greco, XZERES' CEO. "Only MCS certified systems are eligible to take advantage of the government sponsored feed-in tariff. The launch of our UK web site together with our recent MCS certification, the signing of substantive dealer partners, our first orders and our ability to internally generate our own prospective customer leads for direct sales, has opened the door for us to this large and lucrative market. We have already experienced substantial prospective customer inquiries and will soon be adding additional sales representatives to our European office based in Glasgow, Scotland."

An XZERES 442SR wind energy system can receive annual £10,000 payments, with this payment guaranteed for 20 years, commensurate with the expected service life of our small wind power systems. This payment is based on annual wind speeds of 6.5m/s using half of the energy for your home and giving half to the national grid in the United Kingdom.

About XZERES Wind Corp.:
XZERES Wind Corp designs, develops, manufactures and markets distributed generation, wind power systems for the small wind (2.5kW-100kW) market. Our grid connected and off grid wind turbine systems, which consist of our 2.5kW and 10kW devices and related equipment, are utilized for electrical power generation for applications and markets such as residential, micro-grid based rural electrification, agricultural, small business, rural electric utility systems, as well as other private, corporate infrastructure and government applications. Our wind power systems are focused on distributed energy, where a specific machine's energy output is largely or entirely used on-site where the equipment is installed, as well as grid connected applications. While many of our customers take advantage of their local net-metering rules within the United States and Feed In Tariffs that are often available in Europe and Internationally (to sell power back to the grid), our wind power systems are not dependent on transmission needs to carry the energy produced to another location.
