Yahoo! Sports Presents A Day of Champions on Sunday, October 21st at the Sports Museum of Los Angeles

Event Benefits the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program; Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann to Receive the 2012 Children's Choice Award

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2012) - The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program and Yahoo! Sports will present their second annual A Day Of Champions event at the Sports Museum of Los Angeles (1900 Main Street, Los Angeles, CA) on Sunday, October 21, 2012 to benefit The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program. The event will honor Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann by presenting them with the 2012 Children's Choice Award.

This will be the second year that Yahoo! Sports and the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program will celebrate the unique, family-oriented sports themed day-long event at The Sports Museum of Los Angeles. The privately owned venue boasts the largest Dodger memorabilia collection in the world (including a never before seen 10,000 square foot Dodger's archive of the team's history), as well as Babe Ruth's 1934 uniform, Joe DiMaggio's record-breaking ball from his 56 game hitting streak and a bevy of other priceless articles from the sporting world.

During the day-long event, guests will meet and compete with some of the biggest names in professional, Olympic and extreme sports. Special demonstrations and activities will allow guests to challenge athletes to basketball, football, soccer and boxing. Batting cages, speed pitch, miniature golf, sumo wrestling, a Velcro wall and rock climbing round out the event. There will also be a number of celebrities on hand to mingle and compete with fans as well as to share a spectacular BBQ and many sports related moments Last year's attendees included Jack Black, Russell Brand, Billy Bob Thornton, Chad Michael Murray, Kevin James and Milo Ventimiglia and this year promises to attract a similar caring community of Hollywood's best.

The 2012 Children's Choice Award will be presented to Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann. Judd Apatow is considered to be one of the most sought-after comedy minds in the business and has been closely associated with many of the biggest comedy films in recent years. He is multi-hyphenated writer, producer and director and his most notable works include The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Funny People as well as producing such films as Pineapple Express, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Bridesmaids. He is also Executive Producer of HBO's Emmy Award-nominated series "Girls." Apatow recently wrapped This Is 40, a comedy he wrote, directed and produced starring wife Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd to be released in December 2012.

Captivating audiences and critics alike, Leslie Mann's comedic timing and stand-out performances have established her as one of today's most sought after actresses. Mann made her acting debut in the movie The Cable Guy and has since appeared in such films as She's The One, Big Daddy, George of the Jungle, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, 17 Again and Funny People amongst others. Mann recently completed production on Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring and also lent her voice to the character of 'Linda' in the animated blockbuster Rio. Mann will next star in Judd Apatow's This Is 40, a follow up to the blockbuster hit Knocked Up, set for release on December 21, 2012.

The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program's Children's Choice Award is presented to individuals who have contributed above and beyond to ensure the welfare of children and their families infected, affected and at risk for pediatric cancer. Past Children's Choice Award recipients include Trina & Adam Venit, Barbra Streisand, Britney Spears, Clarence Avant, Elizabeth Taylor, Universal Amphitheatre, Gary Gersh, Neil Diamond, Les Bider, David Foster, Bette Midler, Bruce Lundvall, Russ Solomon, Sherry Lansing, Tim Leiweke, Joyce Bogart Trabulus and Dr. Josh Trabulus, Whoopi Goldberg, Queen Latifah, Ed Rosenblatt, The Light Family, Mike Shalett, Russ Bach, Hilary Duff and Hilary Rosen.

Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann are set to receive The 2012 Children's Choice Award on October 21st.
