Yaletown Venture Partners Announce New Partner, Salil Munjal

Seasoned veteran brings extensive leadership experience in technology, principal investing and mergers & acquisitions to leading Western Canadian venture firm.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 15, 2010) - Yaletown Venture Partners is pleased to announce that Salil Munjal has joined the firm as Partner, where he will work alongside co-founding Partners Hans Knapp, Mike Satterfield and Kirk Washington.

Mr. Munjal brings 18 years of senior executive, private equity and public board experience to the Yaletown team. He is both an experienced technology investor and operator, having served as a partner at Penfold Capital, a leading merchant bank, and as Chief Operating Officer at Leitch Technology, which he helped build into a global technology company (NASDAQ and Toronto Stock Exchange) that was acquired by Harris Corporation (NYSE) in a landmark transaction. Mr. Munjal also led corporate development at Hydrogenics Corporation, an international clean technology company and prior to that was a corporate lawyer at Torys LLP, one of Canada's preeminent business law firms.
