yaM Improves Web-Based Application to Make Meetings More Efficient

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwire - Apr 28, 2011) - yaM, developer of cloud-based tools designed to make meetings more efficient and productive, today announced that it has made several upgrades -- based on user feedback -- to its beta product.

yaM is currently free during its beta and is available at Anybody who signs up for the beta before June 1, 2011 will get the first year free. A product overview is available on the yaM YouTube channel (

Benefits of the new upgrades include:

1. Improved ease of use: yaM has included user tips on many of the screens to make sure the user understands the full functionality and benefits of the specific tool. Now anyone can get started with the app in 3-5 minutes.

2. More efficient emails: yaM's goal is to make meetings more efficient, and emails leading up to, during and after a meeting directly impact that goal. Based on user feedback, automated email templates have been greatly improved and streamlined.

3. Improved enterprise usage: yaM changed some of its underlying update architecture to work with strict proxy and firewall settings. Previously, yaM used a "push" update method similar to Google Wave. It now updates using a "pull" method, similar to Skype.

4. Google Account Integration: Now yaM users can sign in using their Google account allowing access to Google contacts from within yaM, access to Google Docs and sync between yaM and Google Calendar. This marks the beginning of a larger scale integration with Google throughout the coming months.

The idea of yaM is very simple: to improve meetings by replacing hard copy tools of the past with virtual and cloud based tools. yaM, which stands for Yet Another Meeting, is a collaborative, real-time application designed to improve the efficiency of meetings by providing tools to improve brainstorming, analyze priorities, create pro/con lists, offer real-time voting on ideas, and employ visual aids via an intuitive online whiteboard.

yaM is initially web-based, but over the next few months will be integrating with the iPad and other tablets, the Google App marketplace, Yammer, and Jive Networks.
