According to Forrester, vendors in the Leader category have a strong mobile current offering, proven strategic intent with mobility, and significant market presence.

Forrester identified several critical requirements of today's mobile workforce, including low latency, cloud reach and platform support. Forrester Research found that multidevice support is critical in order to meet the needs of large organizations. The report also noted that Yammer is one of the vendors who lead in mobile strategy, particularly for its mobile app architecture, offering a balance of native apps and cloud services. In the report, Forrester affirmed, "Yammer has a 'mobile first' strategy and is the first vendor to describe a development team building interaction APIs that deliver a consistent user experience across all devices."
