Yangtze Telecom Launches Financial Analyst Program in its Distance Education Business

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 29, 2006) - Yangtze Telecom Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SMS) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary China United Telecom Technology Company ("UTT") has signed up twenty-five (25) training institutions at a recent conference in Shanghai where UTT announced the launching of a new program, the Chinese Registered Financial Analyst (CRFA). This program, consisting of three levels of certification, was initiated with the cooperation of the Financial Research Institute of the State Council of China, with the course materials and instructors provided or vetted by Stalla of the United States. Stalla, a division of Becker Professional Review, is a leader in providing intensive reviews and preparation for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Exam in America. The 25 institutions that have signed on to the program are well-established career development organizations. It is expected that there will be 1500 level I and II students recruited over the first year.

"The rapid development of medium to large enterprises in recent years in China coupled with the gradual opening up of the financial sector to foreign competition has underscored the need for better trained finance professionals. The CRFA program, principally targeted at university graduates currently practicing in the finance industry, is intended to augment the professional training of financial managers in China. We are very pleased to see the response and support from our education partners at the Shanghai conference on March 25th introducing this program", said Kevin He, CEO of Yangtze Telecom.
