Yapta Introduces Instant Airfare Tracking for Confirmation Emails

Travelers Forward Reservation Confirmation Email to Receive Price Checking & Refund Alerts

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2007) - Yapta, Inc. (www.yapta.com), an online travel shopping service that tracks airline ticket pricing for consumers, today announced the travel industry's first airfare tracking and refund alert service for e-ticket confirmation emails. The free service allows air travelers to forward their airline confirmation email to Yapta and automatically be alerted when their flight is available at a lower price and when they are eligible for a travel voucher or cash refund.

"Email is the most effective way for airlines to confirm reservations made online, and now it's also the easiest way for travelers to build price protection into every trip," said Tom Romary, co-founder and CEO of Yapta.com. "By sending their airline confirmation email to Yapta, travelers can initiate on-going price checks and maximize the value of their travel dollar. It's a simple step that closes the loop in the online trip-planning process, assuring travelers that they're getting the best available price on airfare."

Travelers interested in forwarding their reservation confirmation email to Yapta can address them to flights@yapta.com. Only e-ticket confirmation emails forwarded from Yapta-supported airlines are eligible for the airfare tracking service. E-ticket confirmation emails forwarded from online travel agents are not eligible for the service. Once the flight information has been imported, detailed flight and price information will be available for individual travelers at their "My Trips" page on Yapta.com.

About Yapta, Inc.

Yapta, Inc. was founded in January 2006 with the mission to assure consumers that they get the most value out of their trip planning and pay the lowest possible price for airline tickets. Yapta's online service monitors airfare price volatility and alerts consumers when the price on "tagged" flights decreases. Bringing to light pro-consumer "guaranteed airfare rules" offered by many airlines, the service helps air travelers obtain travel vouchers -- and in some cases, cash refunds -- when the price decreases on tickets that have already been purchased. Yapta also enables travelers to keep all of their flight information in one place online. For more information, visit www.yapta.com.
