YC Alberta Celebrates 20 Years in Edmonton

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 23, 2014) - Spreading the message of hope to thousands of youth across Alberta, YC AB 2014 - celebrating its 20th year - will inspire and encourage young Albertans to live their lives for the purposes of God.

Much more than awesome music and activities - YC Alberta is an event where youth are challenged through workshops and music to experience God's hope. The event is set to take place May 23-25, 2014, at Rexall Place and the Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

"Our theme this year is 'hope' and our cry for students is that they would know the Love of God and the Hope that He offers them," says Mike Love, executive director of Extreme Dream Ministries. "We really believe that God has a purpose for everyone and are praying that all will experience His power and His presence at YC Alberta and beyond."

In 2014, the YC phenomenon is celebrating its 20-year milestone, and has grown from 500 students in a small gymnasium, to draw crowds of over 16,000 delegates in Alberta. More than 250,000 students have been impacted by this event that is spreading across the globe.

"We want to see more lives impacted through YC events around the world and Global Youth Missions," says Mike Love. "More importantly, this weekend is about setting aside our denominational differences as we become one in Christ."

YC Alberta 2014 will feature guest speakers Miles McPherson (US), David Nasser (US), and musical guests Thousand Foot Krutch (CA), For King ad Country (AUS) and Grammy Award nominee David Crowder (US).
