Yellow Pages Group Donates $100,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society: YPG's Donation Results from the Company's Recent Acquisition of ADS

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 19, 2005) - Yellow Pages Group (YPG) today announced a $100,000 gift to the Canadian Cancer Society. This donation is made on behalf of YPG but reflects the joint efforts of its syndicate of 11 underwriters, who assisted YPG in its recent acquisition of Advertising Directory Solutions Holdings Inc. (ADS), commonly known as SuperPages™, in Western Canada.

The decision was made unanimously to benefit a charitable organization in lieu of celebrating the successful outcome of the acquisition. The syndicate of underwriters includes RBC Capital Markets, Scotia Capital Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., TD Securities Inc., Dundee Securities Corporation, Desjardins Securities Inc., First Associates Investments Inc. and Canaccord Capital Corporation.

"The Canadian Cancer Society has been YPG's charity of choice for the past two years. Our employees have embraced this cause, which is why we have decided to donate to this charitable organization when we completed this important transaction," said Marc P. Tellier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Pages Group.

Due to YPG's presence in key urban centres throughout Canada, the donation will be split among four divisions of the Canadian Cancer Society: British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
