Yellow Pages Group Ranks Among Canada's Top 100 Employers

The Company is also on the list of the Top 10 employers in Montreal and among the 10 most admired corporate cultures in Canada

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 11, 2006) - Yellow Pages Group (TSX:YLO.UN), Canada's largest telephone directories publisher, is proud to rank as one of the country's Top 100 Employers. The aim of the list of Canada's Top 100 Employers, sponsored by Maclean's magazine, is to recognize exceptional employers who are leaders in their industry in the recruitment and retention of high-quality employees. Yellow Pages Group is also on the list of the top 10 employers in Montreal.

The top 100 employer survey evaluates companies on their work environment, employee benefits, internal communications, performance management and training. Yellow Pages Group, which was chosen from more than 1,500 Canadian businesses, stands out for its supplemental maternity benefits plan, annual vacation policy, alternative work schedule options, and education promotion program (annual training funds).

An employer of choice

Since the sale of the company in November 2002 and its initial public offering in August 2003, Yellow Pages Group has focused on building a solid business culture for its employees. Various programs have been put in place to offer a stimulating work environment. In addition to other things, Yellow Pages Group has redefined its mission and its values, and encourages its employees to live these values on a day-to-day basis.

"Yellow Pages Group has made it a point of positioning itself as an employer of choice and we have deployed our efforts and resources in this direction," said Marc P. Tellier, President and CEO of Yellow Pages Group. "We are very proud to be recognized as one of Canada's top employers. We owe this success to the sustained work of our employees who support our goals."

One of the ten most admired corporate cultures in Canada

For a second year in a row, Yellow Pages Group appears as one of the top 10 companies whose corporate culture is most admired in Canada. This ranking follows a survey carried out by Waterstone Human Capital Ltd. and Canadian Business magazine among some one hundred Canadian business leaders who gave their opinion concerning the corporate cultures that they admire most. Once again this year, Yellow Pages Group stands out by its sense of excellence and dynamism.
