Yorbeau Resources Inc.: Gold Bearing Zones at Augmitto Extend at Depth

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 12, 2006) - Yorbeau Resources Inc.(TSX:YRB.A) is pleased to provide the following update on its current drilling program which is continuing on its Rouyn property, on the Augmitto and Cinderella Blocks.

The drilling to date on the Augmitto Block confirms the extension at depth of the gold bearing zones of the former Augmitto deposit.

Hole 06-S-415 has intercepted the mineralized corridor of the Rouyn property at the deepest level tested in the current program: a vertical depth of 610 to 671 meters from surface. The gold bearing structures intercepted by hole 06-S-415 are approximately 55 meters to the west of, and are 150 meters deeper than, those intercepted by hole 06-S-413. The mineralized corridor has a true width of approximately 47 meters (154 feet).

The following table presents the weighted grade of each of the gold bearing zones intercepted along core axis.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

(i) Including a section of 86.55 g/t Au over 0.77 meter between 623.23 and 624 meters.

(ii)The geological interpretation confirms the presence of a graphitic argillite band located inside the ultramafic flows. In hole 06-S-415, this band has intercepted a gold bearing zone between 694.95 and 695.75 meters, which has returned 6.00 g/t Au over 0.80 meter (0.17 oz/t Au over 2.62 feet). The mineralization is present as quartz veins with large quantities of sulphides (chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite-arsenopyrite and pyrite) and is very similar to the second type of mineralization found at the Astoria Block ("flow ore").

Hole 06-S-414 was located at 200 feet to the east of hole 06-S-413 and it intercepted the gold bearing zones at a vertical depth of approximately 588 meters (1,929 feet). In this sector, the mineralized corridor has a true width of approximately 4.5 meters and the gold bearing zones have returned the following grades: 1) 1.47 g/t (0.04 oz/t) over 1.0 m (3.3 ft) between 615.7 m and 616.7 m along the core axis; 2) 1.19 g/t (0.03 oz/t) over 0.5 m (1.6 ft) between 620.7 m and 621.2 m along the core axis.

Based on the holes drilled in the current program, it appears that the mineralized corridor is continuous over 315 meters (1,025 feet) between holes 06-S-412A and 06-S-413. Furthermore, compared to the mineralized zones intercepted by hole 06-S-413, hole 06-S-415 extends the structure at depth by at least 150 meters (492 feet).

The following table indicates the location of the holes completed, currently being drilled and to be drilled:
