Yorbeau Resources Inc.: Update on Rouyn Drilling Campaign

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2006) - Yorbeau Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX:YRB.A) is pleased to provide the following update on its current drilling program which is continuing on the Company's Rouyn Property located a few kilometers south of the Town of Rouyn-Noranda.

The first phase of the drilling program, planned to consist of 5,000 meters of diamond drilling intended to test the Larder Lake Break at a vertical depth of approximately 300 meters below surface, is drawing to a close. A total of 4,655 meters of diamond drilling including hole 408 has been completed, and the last holes are currently being analyzed.

In addition to the highly significant gold values intersected by the first four holes over a strike length of 350 meters, two of the last holes, nos. 406 and 407, have intercepted zones nos. 3 and 4 which consist of sulphide or 'flow' type mineralization located in the south portion of the Larder Lake Break. This is regarded as very significant as the zone presents the same style of alteration and mineralization and is located on the same stratigraphic horizon as that which contained the most prolific no. 21 zone in the Kerr-Addison mine.

By way of reference, the Kerr-Addison deposit that includes the adjoining Chesterville mine, located on the same geological structure approximately 35 kilometers to the west of the Rouyn Property, produced during its lifetime 44 million tons of 'flow' and 'carbonate' type ores at an average grade of 0.25 ounces of gold per short ton. At the Kerr-Addison, 'flow' ore was first encountered at a depth of 250 meters but reached its major development at vertical depths from 300 to 1300 meters. 'Flow' mineralization has only recently been identified on the Rouyn Property since previous work had always been concentrated on the 'carbonate' type of mineralization. As this 'flow' mineralization has been identified as a direct result of the application of the Kerr-Addison mineralization model to the Rouyn Property, the comparison with the Kerr-Addison property is now greatly enhanced with the types and behavior of mineralization on the two properties having very strong similarities. (See the Company's press release of January 26, 2006).

In the current program hole 406 located on section 96+00 east intercepted zone 4 and encountered 14 meters of brown alteration typical of 'flow' mineralization with widespread low gold values. Significant results include the following:

Table 1: Results zone no. 4 - 'Flow' type mineralization
Hole no. Section (ft) From (m) To (m) Length (m)(i) Grade(g/t)
06-406 96+00 E 438.75 440.75 2.0 1,75
445.70 448.00 2.3 2.93
(i)True width is approximately 85% of core length.

These results are regarded as extremely encouraging as the 'flow' mineralization has returned significant values in two zones, nos. 3 and 4, which appear to be at least 600 meters in length. The relevant zones are open both along strike and at depth and are interpreted to be the tops of mineralized zones which are expected to increase in grade with increasing depth.

The second phase of the current drilling program is intended to test these structures at a vertical depth of approximately 700 meters. The second phase of the program has commenced with the start of hole 409 which is now underway.

The qualified person for the purpose of this press release under National Instrument 43-101 is G. Hinse, P.Eng., who has directly supervised all work done on the Augmitto, Cinderella and Lake Gamble blocks of Yorbeau's Rouyn property during the last two years.

Samples were analyzed at Laboratoire Expert at Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Core samples were sawed in halves at the company's core shack facility located at the Augmitto mine site. One-half was retained at the site for reference and the other half was sent in secure bag to Laboratoire Expert for standard 30-gram fire assay with gravity finish. When visible gold was present in the core, the sample was analyzed using the metallics method. At random, certain samples, such as those of zone no. 4, were analyzed using both the 30-g fire assay and metallics methods.

Yorbeau's Rouyn Property straddles the Larder Lake Break along a distance of 12 kilometers and is located just a few kilometers south of the Town of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. Formerly referred to the Astoria I and II, the property comprises several contiguous blocks. Starting at the western boundary of the property and going east, these blocks are called the Augmitto, Cinderella, Lake Gamble and Astoria Blocks which together account for approximately 8 kilometers of the total distance of 12 kilometers covered by the whole property. In January of 2005 the Company published a resource calculation relating to a portion of the Astoria Block with a measured and indicated gold resource of 349,100 oz.
