York Telecom to Provide Managed Bridging Services to Kentucky Tele-Linking Network

Win Awarded Under State-Wide Contract Held by AT&T in Partnership With York Telecom

EATONTOWN, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 25, 2005 -- York Telecom, a recognized expert in complex visual communication solutions and services, announced today that they, in partnership with AT&T, will provide IP-based managed scheduling and bridging services to the Kentucky Tele-linking Network, an umbrella organization which provides videoconferencing services to state-level organizations in Kentucky.

Under the terms of the agreement, the York Telecom-AT&T team will also migrate the existing T1/ATM based H.320/.321 technology to Internet Protocol (IP) based H.323 technology. In accordance with the move to newer technology, organizations participating in the KTLN program may also upgrade to IP-compliant systems. York Telecom-AT&T will continue to support the non-IP compliant systems for a fixed period of time.

The new IP-based network will provide a more flexible system that will allow users to make point-to-point conference calls through a Web interface without the involvement of Commonwealth Office of Technology or the York Telecom-AT&T team.

To facilitate the transition, York Telecom-AT&T will work with the Commonwealth Office of Technology to educate end-user communities about the new Scheduling and Bridging Service through videoconferencing and streaming technologies.

"We believe this to be a very cost-effective solution for our network's bridging services and very much appreciate AT&T/York Telecom's able assistance and the considerable efforts of the Commonwealth Office of Technology on our behalf," said Brad Watkins, IT Director, Commonwealth Office of Technology.

"We're excited about this opportunity to work with AT&T and the Commonwealth," said Ken Scaturro, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at York Telecom. "The end-user community of the KTLN network will greatly benefit from the upgrade in technology, not to mention the managed services approach to scheduling and bridging. This type of solution will bring ease-of-use and reliability to the high standard end-users demand and deserve."
