Yorkville Chiropractor Launches New Website for Advanced Physical Medicine of Yorkville

YORKVILLE, IL--(Marketwire - Jan 26, 2012) - Advanced Physical Medicine has announced the launch of its new website, The new website is designed to educate patients about the services available at the Yorkville practice, including pain management, orthopedic rehabilitation, and sports medicine. The practice provides treatments for patients in Yorkville, Oswego, Aurora, Sugar Grove, Plano, Sandwich, Somonauk, Lake Holiday, Newark, and Bristol.

Dr. Brian Berkey, a Yorkville chiropractor and the clinical director of Advanced Physical Medicine, announced that the practice has launched a newly revamped website. The website,, is designed to improve communication with patients and expand awareness about the connection between internal medicine, holistic care and chiropractic treatments.

"Many of our patients come to us struggling with chronic neck and back pain or serious conditions like spinal stenosis," said Dr. Berkey. "Our treatments are condition-specific, physician-directed and therapist-applied. This whole body approach to wellness is different from traditional medical care, and our new website is a wonderful resource for educating patients about our treatments."

The website features a "Community Content" wellness library with information on the science behind the Yorkville chiropractic care treatments and how these treatments can help auto injury and work injury patients safely heal. The library also explains how restoring alignment to the musculoskeletal system is essential for long-term health.

"Our goal with all our patients is to not only help them safely recover from injury, but also to help them achieve optimal wellness," said Dr. Farah Malik, the medical director for Advanced Physical Medicine who works closely with chiropractor Dr. Berkey. "Preventive care is an essential part of our approach to treatment, and the website's wellness content does a wonderful job of explaining the importance of correcting underlying problems before they lead to chronic illness, injury, pain, and fatigue."

The interactive 3D Spine Simulator demonstrates how a misalignment in one part of the body can lead to problems throughout. For example, individuals can see how a herniated disc in the lumbar spine can affect the nearby nerves, causing pain in the lower back, buttocks, and legs.

"The 3D Spine Simulator is an exciting educational resource on our new website," said Dr. Berkey. "When patients see first-hand how a simple problem is causing pain throughout their bodies, it is much easier to then help patients understand how chiropractic care and holistic treatments are essential to helping the body heal."

The website also includes information about the comprehensive wellness services available at the practice, including physical therapy, massage therapy, and nutritional counseling.

Individuals who wish to learn more about wellness and preventive care can also sign up for the free, bi-weekly e-newsletter.

"Our goal with the e-newsletter and the new blog is to create a dialogue directly with our patients," said Dr. Malik. "We want to keep our patients up-to-date on the latest in wellness care, while also inspiring them to stay healthy and active."
