YOUNG CORPORATE TORONTO COMING OUT TO SUPPORT
MOUNT SINAI HOSPITAL

TORONTO, April 4 - More than $150,000 will be raised by Toronto's most successful young professionals and entrepreneurs on April 7, to back a $1 million pledge to support groundbreaking healthcare and research at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The event, called London Calling, is presented by Leadership Sinai, a volunteer group of young corporate and community leaders, 25 to 50 years old, who are dedicated to raising money for the Hospital.

"The money raised will support Leadership Sinai's $1 million pledge to support the highest priorities of Mount Sinai," said Jordan Sarick, Leadership Sinai Chair. "With the help of the hundreds of people scheduled to attend, we can ensure that Mount Sinai continues to be an international leader in patient care, teaching and research - all while having an incredible night of fun!"

Attendance and money raised at this event has increased every year with more than 500 people expected to attend this 6th annual signature event organized by Leadership Sinai. This British themed event boasts live entertainment with a Beatles tribute band and British inspired cuisine.

"This is a great opportunity for a dynamic group of generous young people to network with their peers but most importantly to learn to develop their philanthropic and leadership skills," said Sarick.

London Calling includes an exclusive cocktail reception, silent auction, a live performance by Dr. Draw (a noted electric violin player), a chance to win two round-trip business class tickets from Toronto to London donated by British Airways, and a Bulgari watch donated by Royal De Versailles.

London Calling will be held on April 7, 7:30 p.m. at the Windsor Arms Hotel, in Toronto.

Please find attached a backgrounder and list of notable attendees. The media is welcome. To reserve tickets, please call 416-586-8203.

BACKGROUNDER: LEADERSHIP SINAI

Leadership Sinai was created in 1993 to encourage and develop the involvement and leadership of young people in the community. It offers young business and community leaders, between the ages of 25 and 50, a unique opportunity to make a positive and tangible difference to the future of health care by continuing the tradition of excellence at Mount Sinai Hospital.

As a part of this dynamic group, members have the opportunity to network with peers and build valuable philanthropic and leadership skills.

Membership requires a minimum pledge of $5,000, which can be paid in a lump sum or in installments over a five-year period.

The dollars raised through membership and a variety of philanthropic endeavours go directly toward important projects that support research and enhance patient care facilities and new technology and equipment, including:

• Leadership Sinai Advanced Surgical Technology Centre and Leadership Sinai Chair in Surgery
• Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes
