CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - September 01, 2016) - For the third year, YWE is thrilled to announce the annual Young Women in Energy Awards. As part of building an authentic community for our members, we want to recognize and reward Alberta's young women who are going above and beyond to change the face of energy. The awards open today and submissions will be accepted until September 30.
The awards program, open to women with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in energy or at an energy-related service provider, is an important opportunity to recognized by peers, mentors, leaders and co-workers. YWE is looking for candidates who demonstrate drive and vision and who step out to propose new initiatives.
We know there are many deserving women out there, and there are impactful benefits for winners. Former Award Winner Anne Harding says, "I have received far more recognition than I ever expected within my own company, which has raised my profile and connected me with meaningful conversations about the role of young women in the energy sector."
Qualified candidates can be nominated, or apply themselves, for the YWE Award Program. Winners are chosen by our prestigious Selection Committee, and receive many benefits including a mentor for the year, recognition at a YWE event, and a professional photo shoot.
