AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Apr 24, 2015) - Younicos, a global leader in intelligent grid-scale energy storage solutions, strongly supports recommendations from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) calling for energy storage to be an important component of a modernized electricity grid infrastructure. The DOE's Quadrennial Energy Review (QER), issued earlier this week, outlines a foundation for significant investment in more advanced grid resources, such as energy storage technologies.

The first installment of the QER looks at how to modernize U.S. energy infrastructure to promote economic competitiveness, energy security and environmental responsibility, focusing on energy transmission, storage, and distribution.
