YouTube and Announce Winner of Nationwide Red Carpet Reporter Audition

Unveiled Today on and YouTube, Grand Prize Winner Will Work the Red Carpet at a Major Hollywood Awards Ceremony This September, Interviewing Celebrities Alongside Veteran Reporters

NEW YORK, NY and SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - August 27, 2008) - and YouTube™ today announced the grand prize winner of their Red Carpet Reporter contest ( Franchesca Leigh Ramsey, a 24-year-old communications manager with the Miami Chamber of Commerce, will spend a whirlwind two days in Los Angeles this September where she will receive the ultimate red carpet treatment herself, including hair and make-up by Revlon, a clothing allowance and VIP entry to exclusive events, before fulfilling her dream of working the red carpet interviewing television's biggest names.

The competition, which launched in July, invited aspiring red carpet reporters to post their videos to a co-branded casting channel on YouTube ( Applicants posted their best two-to four-minute videos showcasing their interviewing skills as they chatted up family and friends, while pretending to be on the red carpet at a Hollywood award show. Videos related to the search generated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and The top ten finalists were selected by a team of editors and red carpet correspondents, who along with the YouTube community voted on the finalists' second round videos, ultimately selecting Franchesca the winner.
