Yukon Resources to Acquire Important Uranium Property in Finland's Primary Historic Uranium Producing District

TAMPERE, FINLAND--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2006) - Yukon Resources Corp. (OTCBB:YUKR) is pleased to announced the Company has entered into an option agreement with Finnish based Apofas Ltd. to acquire a 100% undivided interest in a strategic block of uranium claims located in the prolific Joenensuu magistrate in Eastern Finland. The claims have been reserved by Apofas Ltd. and are subject to approval by Finnish authorities. The property is situated in close proximity to Finland's only producing uranium area the renowned Paukkajanvaara Uranium deposit/mine. To date the deposit has produced over 30 tonnes of uranium oxide. The reserved claims are contained within an historic uranium-producing district where approximately 48 separate uranium occurrences have recently been identified. This district is highly accessible and is served by an excellent road infrastructure. Previous drilling has outlined mineralization that is thought to bear striking similarities to a classic style "unconformity-type uranium deposits" which are similar to some of the world's richest operating mines in Canada.

Stated Yukon Resources President Thornton Donaldson, "Clearly, this acquisition in Finland will position Yukon in a very favorable environment where renewed uranium exploration parallels both Finland's and the world's need for increased uranium oxide supply."

Yukon Resources is a rapidly emerging uranium exploration company with assets now in Arizona and Finland. The company continues to focus on high priority uranium property acquisitions in order to participate in meeting the significant and increasing demand for uranium.
