Zacuto Employees Release Third Episode of Sci-Fi/Adventure Web Series

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Feb 16, 2012) - Zacuto is happy to announce the release of the latest episode of Hank Frisco: Galaxy Defender, a sci-fi/adventure/comedy web series produced by Zacuto employees. Since the show's debut last year, Hank Frisco has been gaining popularity and the third episode of the series is now available to view on the web!

"It has always been a dream of ours to produce our own TV show," says Hank Frisco screenwriter Matt Kelley. "Now, thanks to Zacuto's resources plus affordable cameras and software, our dream has become a reality."

The show is produced by Zacuto rental manager Joe DeJulius, producer Scott Lynch, product designer Patrick Fee, copywriter Matt Kelley and product assembler Jake VanKersen. Kelley wrote the script, Fee shot it, DeJulius directed and Lynch edited.

The new "Galaxy Defender" episode was shot over a weekend at DeJulius and Kelley's Lincoln Square apartment and some scenes were shot on Zacuto's stage after hours. Since Zacuto was one of the first companies to introduce DSLR cameras and rigs to Chicago, the show is shot with Canon 5D and 7D cameras.

In the 15-minute episode, Last Cosmic Standing, Hank Frisco, his faithful lieutenant and their sarcastic robot are forced to endure mediocre plots on the planet 'Sitcom.' The show is shot entirely in Chicago and features local Chicago actors. Hank Frisco is played by Scott Cupper, a Jeff Award-winning ensemble actor for the Strange Tree Group; Neil Arsenty is Lieutenant Bonzo and Tim Heurlin plays the evil ruler of the planet 'Sitcom' known only as the Audience. The series also features original music by Jon Steinmeier.
