Zacuto Films Garners Four Emmy Nominations

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Oct 31, 2012) - Zacuto Films received four Emmy nominations for two of their original programs bts and Revenge of the Great Camera Shootout. The Emmy represents the highest honor in television/digital programming. Zacuto Films will be competing in the regional Chicago/Midwest chapter.

Zacuto's 2012 Emmy nominations are:

Outstanding Achievement for Documentary Programming - Topical: bts: a web series, Episode 2: "Chasing the Light" - Producers Steve Weiss, Jens Bogehegn, Scott Lynch, Daniel Skubal, Greg Kwedar

Outstanding Achievement for Interview/Discussion Programming: Revenge of the Great Camera Shootout 2012, Episode 1: "Starting with Darkness" - Producers Steve Weiss, Jens Bogehegn, Scott Lynch, Daniel Skubal

Outstanding Crafts Achievement: Director of Post-Production - Steve Weiss - bts, a web series, Episode 2: "Chasing the Light"

Outstanding Crafts Achievement: Editor - Daniel Skubal - bts, a web series, Episode 2: "Chasing the Light"

bts is a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into producing a documentary on location; a documentary about making documentaries. Revenge of the Great Camera Shootout is a three-part series examining the art of filmmaking, use of light, and cameras used.

Last year The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognized Zacuto Films with four Emmy Nominations for their programs bts: Hit the Ground Running, FilmFellas: Commitment to the Craft, and The Great Camera Shootout 2011: The Tipping Point. Zacuto Editor, Karen Abad also received a nomination for Outstanding Crafts for her editing work on The Great Camera Shootout 2011: The Tipping Point. Zacuto brought home an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement for Interview/Discussion Programming for their very first web series FilmFellas.
