Zacuto Releases Final Episode of 'bts' Web Series

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 21, 2011) - Last week Zacuto released the third and final episode of bts, a web series following the making of a documentary about the first national Rwandan cycling team. The full length documentary film, Rising from Ashes, is scheduled to be released on the film festival circuit in early January of 2012.

"bts has been an ongoing project for roughly 10 months now, and a little over a year in discussion. This has been the largest scale project I have ever had to deal with, topping last year's Great Camera Shootout 2010 by a few dozen hours," says bts chief editor, Daniel Skubal. "I can't thank Steve Weiss, T.C. Johnstone and Greg Kwedar enough for entrusting the post production team to put this together. It's been a fantastic ride, and I'm a little sad to say the project is over -- but hopefully the next season of this series will be just right around the corner!"

Tensions run high in episode 3 as the RFA crew scrambles to shoot the final race. As they deal with problems concerning the race organizer, security, time and finances, these filmmakers realize that nothing in the documentary filmmaking game is set in stone. Will they get the shots that they need? You'll have to watch the episode to find out. In a dramatic turn of events, the RFA crew also faces an ethical dilemma as they visit the grave of Godfrey, a Rwandan cyclist who unfortunately never got to see his team make it to the final race. Episode 3 of bts is exciting, riveting and emotional. It's everything you'd ever want in a web series. You won't want to miss it.

bts is Zacuto's first foray into behind the scenes production and has been a massive undertaking in logistics, shooting and editing. To view the episode in its entirety, please visit http://www.zacuto.com/bts-episode-3.
