Zacuto Z-Finder EVF Firmware 2.00.00 Update Now Available for Download

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Nov 9, 2011) - Zacuto recently released the firmware upgrade number 2.00 for their popular Z-Finder EVF. EVF owners will be pleased to know that the upgrade as well as all future upgrades can be downloaded free of charge at This is the second and most recent upgrade for the EVF. Well known for their innovation, Zacuto strives to make their products the best on the market. The two biggest features of the 2.00 EVF firmware upgrade are the 1080p support for 24, 25 and 30 frames per second and the frame store feature.

"I got the firmware before my last shoot and the frame store feature really came in handy," says Director Paul Schneider. "I normally have a guy that can bring up video for playback when doing match cuts, but his gear went down. The frame store feature worked perfectly and the shoot was saved. It's such a great feature that I'm surprised other monitors don't have it."

Some additional features include an overhauled manual scale interface (users can create up to 8 unique user presets as opposed to 4 in the previous firmware) and a Frame Box appearance to Frame Lines menu. Zacuto has also fixed some loop-out bugs that have been reported and added more stability that will prevent freeze ups. Visit the firmware upgrade page for a complete list of upgrades and fixes.

"We added a lot of really cool features to the EVF with this firmware upgrade," says Zacuto product designer, Patrick Fee. "A lot of people have been asking for some of these features for a while and we're happy to provide our customers with what they want."
