Keith Smith Lends Leadership and Expertise to Help Shape Direction of Largest Statewide Association of Technology Companies and Executives

SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 22, 2007 -- The WSA, the state's oldest and largest technology trade organization, named Keith Smith, CEO of Zango, to its board of directors, Zango announced today.

The WSA board of directors -- chaired by Bill Baxter, founder and CEO of SnapTune, Inc. -- provides strong leadership oversight, insightful ideas and valuable experience to help guide the direction of the WSA, which boasts 1,000 member companies representing more than 80,000 technology sector employees in Washington state.

"Keith brings a fresh voice and relevant experiences to the WSA board," said Ken Myer, WSA president and CEO. "He will no doubt play an important role as we set new industry directions and advance the economic value and global impact of technology companies doing business in Washington."

Smith's vision, entrepreneurial spirit and focus on results and profitability, not to mention his strong technology development background, are ideal for WSA board service. He has served as CEO of Zango since co-founding it in 1999 and has led the company to become the Web's leading desktop advertising software company with a lengthy, multi-year track record of profitability. During his tenure at Zango, Smith has raised more than $150 million in debt and equity financing and successfully integrated four mergers and acquisitions.

"It goes without saying that Washington state is a tremendous environment for technology companies," said Smith. "Our state, however, is not without its challenges. Many remain from the past, while new ones arise all the time. I've lived through both trying times and rewarding successes. I look forward to sharing these experiences and utilizing lessons learned to help the WSA advance the technology industry here in Washington."
