Zeligsoft Further Integrates Key Tools for Software Defined Radio Development

Model-to-model translation between Zeligsoft CE™ and Telelogic Rhapsody® increases code quality and speeds productivity

ORLANDO, FLORIDA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 13, 2006) - At the 2006 Software Defined Radio Technical Conference and Product Exposition, Zeligsoft™, a leading vendor of market-specific embedded software development tools today announced it has taken another major step in integrating its system programming environment for SDR, CE 2.4 and associated Code Generator, with Telelogic Rhapsody®, the embedded software industry's fastest-growing Model-Driven Development environment (MDD). Now available, this model-to-model translation benefits developers of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) conforming to the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Communications Architecture (SCA) standard.

Through advanced automation, the CE model used to construct and generate the SCA component architecture, SCA descriptor files and component interconnect code is kept in lock-step with the Rhapsody UML-based model used to construct and generate the radio logic inside the components. The tight linkage enables designers to benefit from Rhapsody's ports, state-charts and structure features for the development of the radio logic, with push-button integration and compliance to the SCA standard assured throughout the full lifecycle of the development project.

"With the assurance that their models are consistent-by-construction, project teams can generate high-quality code streams quickly, significantly accelerating their development process," said Mark Hermeling, Director Applications Engineering, Zeligsoft.

"Both Zeligsoft's and Telelogic's best-in-class tools are pervasive in SDR projects being undertaken by large defense integrators," said Jim McElroy, Director Business Development, Telelogic. "With this integration we continue our commitment to providing developers with complete, integrated solutions that meet their specific day-to-day requirements and make a material difference to the project bottom line."

The CE-Rhapsody model-to-model translation builds upon the integration released and demonstrated one year ago at the 2005 SDR Technical Conference, and is part of the value-added offering Zeligsoft brings to the SDR developer community.

The model-to-model translation will be demonstrated at Zeligsoft's booth (#202) during the 2006 Software Defined Radio Technical Conference and Product Exposition taking place at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, Orlando, FL, November 13-17, 2006.
