In-Market Activity Educates Consumers on the Noninvasive Fat Reduction Procedure and Drives Local Practice Success

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwired - December 28, 2015) - ZELTIQ® Aesthetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZLTQ), a medical technology company focused on developing and commercializing products utilizing its proprietary controlled-cooling technology, today announced the launch of its national advertising campaign that encourages consumers to Fear No Mirror® with the CoolSculpting® procedure.

The national campaign leverages learnings from the successful direct-to-consumer pilot held in 11 U.S. cities: Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, San Diego, Miami / Ft. Lauderdale, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, Washington, DC. CoolSculpting website traffic increased by three times in those markets, and local CoolSculpting providers experienced a significant increase in patient interest and treatments. The multiple channels ZELTIQ plans to leverage include television commercials, radio spots, digital advertising, social media, and public relations. These efforts will be complementary to the significant investment in co-op advertising ZELTIQ has made over the last few years and will continue in 2016.

The CoolSculpting procedure is FDA-cleared.
