Company's High-Temperature Optical Technology Looks to Increase Productivity for Downhole Applications

ZEPHYR COVE, NV--(Marketwired - Oct 9, 2013) - Zephyr Photonics' unique high-temperature optical, VCSEL-based technology was featured in Oil and Gas Innovation Center's September 2013 publication. The Oil and Gas Innovation Center profiles technologies developed in other industries having crossover applicability in the petroleum industry. This resource focuses exclusively on the technology needs of the petroleum industry and featured Zephyr Photonics' high-temperature (up to 175°C) optical components capable of high-speed data transmission and operation in downhole applications. Such high temperature components will allow more time on hole for sensing and collecting measurements while drilling (MWD) for downhole and directional drilling applications.
