TRUMBULL, CT--(Marketwired - May 5, 2015) -  ZetrOZ Inc. is pleased to announce today that its ultrasound device for pain, sam®, has been selected as a finalist in the Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Products Category of the 18th Annual Medical Design Excellence Awards competition. Led by Co-Founder and Chief Science & Technology Officer George K. Lewis, Jr., Ph.D., Co-Founder and CEO Bryant Guffey and, Co-Founder and COO JoAnne Guarino, ZetrOZ produces innovative technology that has been classified and cleared in a new FDA category of ultrasound bio-electronics and CE-marked in Europe last year.

"Recognition such as this helps propel new technology like sam into the medical mainstream, making it easier for the millions of pain sufferers around the world to experience easy-to-use, drug-free relief," says Dr. Lewis. "We've received positive feedback from patients and medical professionals alike since introducing sam a year ago, and being shortlisted for the MDEA this year marks another concrete milestone for our team."
