Ziegler Announces First Quarter Financial Results

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Apr 29, 2011) - The Ziegler Companies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ZGCO), a diversified financial services holding company, today released its financial results for the first quarter ending March 31, 2011.

In the three months ended March 31, 2011, total revenues for the quarter were $11,492,000 compared to $21,551,000 in the first quarter of 2010. Net loss for the first quarter of 2011 was $1,130,000 or 93 cents per basic and diluted share compared to net income of $654,000 or 51 cents per basic and diluted share in the first quarter of 2010. Tangible book value as of March 31, 2011 was $21.00, a decrease from $21.84 at December 31, 2010.
