ZL Technologies Supports Local Education Initiatives With Sponsorship of "Rock for EPACS" Event

Financial Support for Groundbreaking Public Charter Schools Helps Disadvantaged Students Achieve Success in Primary Education, College, and Beyond

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 10, 2015) - ZL Technologies, Inc. (ZL), the leader in unified information governance and analytics for enterprise-class organizations, today announced its financial support for the "Rock for EPACS" concert and fundraiser, organized for the East Palo Alto Charter School (EPACS) and East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy (EPAPA). The event, held in Palo Alto on the evening of September 12, will raise money for local charter schools which empower students from under-privileged communities to achieve college admission and long-term academic success.

Both EPACS and EPAPA were established with the explicit purpose of equipping all students -- regardless of background -- with the critical skills necessary to excel in college and beyond. While East Palo Alto has historically struggled with disproportionately high dropout rates as high as 60%, EPACS and EPAPA provide uniquely tailored educational opportunities for K-12 students in need, and currently have a 100% college acceptance rate for their graduates. No student graduates without the skills necessary to succeed in college, and each student has an academic plan customized to personal needs.

ZL Technologies was founded in Silicon Valley in 1999, and remains strongly committed to the vitality of business and education initiatives that subsequently help perpetuate long-term technological innovation. Past philanthropic initiatives have included donation of a full ZL Unified Archive® deployment to a university computer science department, as well as continual support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters annual golf tournament in Massachusetts. Tom Mulligan, a Product Specialist at ZL, will additionally be donating his stipend for speaking at an upcoming ARMA International chapter event to the EPACS and EPAPA foundation.

"Silicon Valley is an epicenter of innovation, and to see local students struggle amidst such a culture of advancement is a tragedy," said Kon Leong, CEO of ZL Technologies. "We pride ourselves on support of educational programs ranging from primary school through college, and as a native business, we feel especially connected to the long-term success of local students."

"I find it extremely gratifying to work for a company that has a commitment to improving the community," noted Tom Mulligan, a ZL Technologies Product Specialist. "Our work with EPACS aligns with my personal ethos, as I already volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Bay Area. Both organizations provide resources, time, and guidance so that youth can reach their potential both inside and outside of the classroom."
