Zoic Studios Contributes Visual Effects to New Season of "Battlestar"; Garners Emmy Nomination

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 15, 2005 -- Tonight at 10 pm Pacific/9 pm Central, the wildly popular series "Battlestar Galactica" continues with a new season on the Sci Fi Channel, complete with dramatic visual effects by Emmy Award-winning Zoic Studios. "Battlestar Galactica" was born from the popular miniseries that debuted in 2003 on the Sci Fi Channel. The next-generation series pays homage to the original television program while presenting a 21st century viewpoint, aesthetic and visual effects. On Thursday, July 14th it was announced that Episode 33 of "Battlestar Galactica" (Season 1), for which Zoic created the effects, was nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy for Special Visual Effects.
