Zoo Entertainment's indiePub Receives Sponsorships From Intel AppUp(SM) Developer Program and Unity Technologies for Independent Game Developer Competition

World Leaders in Technology and Game and Interactive 3D Development Lend Their Support to Independent Developers at SXSW ScreenBurn Arcade on March 13

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - February 22, 2011) - Video game publisher Zoo Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZOOG) today announced that its online independent gaming community, indiePub, will receive support from the Intel AppUp(SM) developer program and Unity Technologies for its first annual Independent Propeller Awards at SXSW ScreenBurn Arcade, the video game element of SXSW Interactive. The Intel AppUp developer program and Unity Technologies will be sponsoring and presenting awards at SXSW ScreenBurn that recognize excellence in innovation and overall game development.

As a proponent of game and application developers striving to create innovative new mobile applications and experiences, the Intel AppUp developer program will be sponsoring the Intel Innovation Award which will be presented to a development team that exemplifies innovation.

The second sponsored award of the competition, the Unity Development Award, will be presented by Unity Technologies, which leads the industry with its Unity development platform for games and interactive 3D on the web, iOS, Android and consoles -- the ultimate platform for video game advancement. After being presented with the Intel Innovation Award, winners will also receive a laptop from the Intel AppUp developer program. The team presented with the Unity Development Award will take home a full suite of Unity Pro Software, which allows for the full development of applications including online updates and simulation.

In addition to the newly sponsored awards by the Intel AppUp developer program and Unity Technologies, awards will be presented to the finalists for Best Art, Best Audio, Best Design and Technical Excellence. The Independent Propeller Awards will offer $150,000 in total prizes and the chance for titles to be published by indiePub through its sponsor, Zoo Publishing.
