Zoomingo Launches New Android Shopping App With Popular Hot or Not Game and Weekly Prizes; More Than 1.5 Million Deals Already Rated by Users in Game

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2012) - Zoomingo Inc., creators of shopping discovery apps that help consumers find the best sales in their local stores anywhere in the nation, has introduced a new Android version of its innovative shopping app that gives consumers instant access to sale items at their favorite retail outlets, directly from their smartphone. Not only does the new version allow Android users to follow and access sales at more than 70,000 national and local retail outlets throughout the country, but it includes the company's popular Hot or Not game introduced earlier with its iPhone application that lets consumers rate the deals they find with Zoomingo and enters them into a contest for weekly prizes.

With the new version, Android users can now play the popular Hot or Not game that has helped make its iPhone version a top 25 application in its category in the Apple App Store to rate Zoomingo discovered deals while participating in a Weekly contest where users can compete to win an attractive prize. Based on the user's ratings, Zoomingo's proprietary ZoomSense™ technology displays more deals that match the user's shopping preferences.

"Since the launch of our Hot or Not game with our iPhone version in March, Zoomingo users have viewed and rated over 1.5 million deals and saved 75 thousand items to their shopping list across 80 national retailers," said Shirish Nadkarni, co-founder of Zoomingo. "This amazing level of community engagement allows us to highlight the best deals to our users and drive a significant amount of foot traffic to the retail stores."

About Zoomingo
Zoomingo was co-founded by Krishnan Seshadrinathan and Shirish Nadkarni, who also co-founded Livemocha, the world's largest language learning website with more than 12 million users. Nadkarni also founded mobile email pioneer TeamOn, which was acquired by RIM in 2002. Nadkarni left Livemocha in 2011 and had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with his wife -- an avid shopper. The experience of going from one store to another in the mall to find interesting things on sale quickly became tedious. Often, his wife might find an item, but not buy it because she wasn't sure if there was something similar that was cheaper in another store. As a self-described "typical male shopper," Nadkarni found the process time-consuming and frustrating, and searched for an app to help. Price comparison apps weren't always reliable, and retailer mobile apps were geared to making online purchases. Nadkarni knew there had to be a better way -- and the idea of Zoomingo was born.
