Net Optics Announces Pending Acquisition by Ixia

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2013) - Net Optics, Inc., a leading provider of total application and network visibility solutions, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA) for $190 million in cash. 

The acquisition would expand Ixia's technology portfolio of network visibility products to include Net Optics' signature line of network and virtualization taps and its range of Application-Aware Network Performance Monitoring (AA-NPM) solutions and network packet brokers.

The closing is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals, and is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2013.
